Animal Rolfing
for Cats, Dogs, Horses (Equines), Rabbits and Other Pets

by Gina McCulloch D.C., IVCA, IEBWA

What is animal Rolfing for cats, dogs, horses (equines), rabbits and other pets button - grey/white yingyang picture What is it?

Rolfing for cats, dogs, horses (equines) and other animals is a holistic treatment which helps ease pain from imbalances within the soft tissues and structures of your pet’s body.

Practitioners palpate pets to determine tissue imbalances. Through soft tissue manipulation and movement pattern education, they release restrictions and re-balance the body so its movements work with, not against, gravity.

It is often referred to as an alternative, integrative, complementary, natural and / or holistic medicine for cats, dogs, horses (equines) rabbits and other animals and pets.

How does animal Rolfing for cats, dogs, horses (equines), rabbits and other pets work button - grey/white yingyang picture  How does it work?

Rolfing practitioners align and balance all of your pet’s (e.g. cat, dog, horse, rabbit etc.) body parts, so the body works better as a whole and movement patterns are harmonised. This decreases stress on body structures and reduces the likelihood of premature degeneration.

Mild and direct pressure is applied to the body’s soft tissues which stimulates the nervous system to reset the muscle contraction intensity to a healthy level.

This decreases pain and allows muscles to be used more efficiently so energy can be conserved.

What can animal Rolfing for cats, dogs, horses (equines), rabbits and other pets help with button - grey/white yingyang picture  What can it help?

There is evidence based research and/or anecdotal evidence that Animal Rolfing has helped cats, dogs, horses (equines), rabbits and other pets with:

  • Detoxification of their body
  • Loosening tight tissue
  • Relaxation
  • Sense of well-being
  • Stress reduction
  • Tension reduction
